We went bananas when we got our first look at these Team Radio Shack vehicles wrapped by the legendary APE WRAPS, out of Coronado, CA.

According to Troy Downey, owner and visionary behind the APE Wraps name, “We were contacted by the Team’s PR Firm and organizer to fulfill branding requirements for the Team Vehicles. ‘INSPIRED’ was the word when APE received the call for this project! First, to be working with the brand Radio Shack and then to provide services to a group of Super Stars as Lance Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer. It doesn’t get any better than this!” exclaimed Downey.

He continues, “Motivated was an understatement! We set to work on the designs and derived a complimenting arrangement of the company’s assets to mimic the European look and branding.” The final design for the EU vehicles was created in the USA for the Team Radio Shack chase vehicles—used notably for The Tour de France. The artwork that was used for the North American chase vehicles for the Team’s USA Tour (particularly for the Tour de California)  had to be recomposed to fit the various US vehicle models. This was skillfully handled by APE Wraps. The vehicles included: (1) 45 ft coach (bus), (1) Nissan Titan truck, (1) 26 foot trailer. (3) Nissan Rogues, (1) Nissan Armada.
